i have been volunteering with the mustard seed since 2010, and my service is on-going

 

i love participating in friday night street-cafe, playing my guitar for our guests, and swapping stories with them over dinner

before the victoria youth custody centre was closed due to funding cuts, i volunteered my time by running a wellness program

 

i enjoyed working with these young men and was inspired by their desire to learn, to better themselves and to build positive relationships

i got involved with the fundamentals program through a school project

 

this was a great oppotunity to meet some of the families from the victoria area with whom i would eventually sail with as an instructor with the disabled sailing association

 

i worked at the hillside veterinary hospital for one month in 2006 as part of career exploration in highschool

 

i got a lot of administration experience, experience interatcting with concerned owners/family members, as well as a great introduction to surgery proceedures
